ATS granted the transit remand of Sudhakar Chaturvadi
Mumbai ATS was today granted the transit remand of Sudhakar Chaturvedi,believed to be a member of Abhinav Bharat,in connection with the September 29 Malegaon blast case. Chaturvedi was arrested by the Matunga police on November 4 for possessing a revolver and fake army identity card. A magistrate court transferred Chaturvedi's custody to the Mumbai Anti-Terror Squad following an application filed by them. He is suspected to have been in contact with Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Purohit, an accused in the Malegaon blasts, and is alleged to have arranged meetings between the persons arrested so far in the case in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Chaturvedi is likely to be taken to the Nashik court tomorrow where the ATS will seek his police custody. Abhinav Bharat, a Pune-based organisation, is suspected to be linked to the Malegaon blast which left six persons dead.

Samir Kulkarni was taken to JFMC Kirkee
Samir Kulkarni was taken to the JFMC Kirkee from Kirkee police station in connection with a beating case of a local pastor.And at least 50 people headed by Himani Savarkar, president of Hindu Mahasabha, and Abhinav Bharat, Shiva Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad among smaller local outfits gathered in front of the locked gates of the court and stayed put for more than two hours.
