JATP Blues - Blues in Bb Eldridge 1980 ( Oscar Peterson Show)
Recorded in Toronto, my notes said it was 1980, this is part of an Oscar Peterson show where a recreation of Jazz at the Philharmonic was shown. Norman Granz introduces Louis Bellson drums, Ray Brown bass, Herb Ellis guitar, Oscar Peterson piano with in the front line Zoot Sims and Eddy Lockjaw Davis saxes and Clark Terry and finally Roy Eldridge on trumpets. They just swing your socks off, in a blues in Bb, the most comfortable key for the tenors and the trumpets which are tuned in that key.

Drawing Table Camera Test 02
My second video test. This time I had sort of the opposite problem from the last test. Everything was TOO light, so the video was completely washed out. I did a Levels correction on it and was able to bring the line work out, but everything looks dark again. Also my hair makes a number of appearances, I need to determine on the final camera placement on my table to avoid this.
I hate her hand, it just sucked. Since this was another quickie, I didn't worry TOO much about it. Usually I have an idea of the design of a picture going in but for this picture I just winged it.

Sunday - Roy Eldridge (1961)
Part of a 1961 movie promoting to place commercials in short jazz films. In this clip Roy Eldridge just walks in a club where the band is playing just for the staff after hours. Roy joins the session in a tune called Sunday. In the band are Coleman Hawkins tenor sax, Johnny Guarnieri piano, Barry Gailbraith guitar, Milt Hinton bass and Cozy Cole drums.

Cozy Cole and Roy Eldridge Sextet (1958)
Roy David Eldridge (January 30, 1911 -- February 26, 1989) was a jazz trumpet player in the Swing era. His sophisticated use of harmony, including the use of tritone substitutions, resulted in him sometimes being seen as the link between Louis Armstrong-era swing music and Dizzy Gillespie-era bebop. Roy's rhythmic power to swing a band was a dynamic tradmark of the Swing Era.
Eldridge was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His nickname was Little Jazz. Eldridge played in the bands of Fletcher Henderson, Gene Krupa and Artie Shaw before making records under his own name. He also played in Goodman's and Count Basie's Orchestras, and co-led a band with Hawkins.

Eldridge Street Disco - 愛烈治街 快樂舞
In a condemned building in NYC's Chinatown, in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday, the locals while away the hours with a pastiche of ballroom styles and disco beats.
