Chrysler's LaSorda rallies for loan at Toledo Jeep
Chrysler LLC Vice Chairman Tom LaSorda, along with elected officials and others, staged a rally inside the Toledo Jeep Assembly complex Wednesday on behalf of the sagging U.S. auto industry.
Calling on plant workers to contact Ohios Congressional delegation and urge its members to support the domestic auto industrys request for $34 billion in aid, Mr. LaSorda said lawmakers need to understand that Chrysler, Ford Motor Co., and General Motors Corp. arent asking for a handout.

$30 Billion Auto Industry Bailout

GM is now proposing a bailout of nearly $20 billion, perhaps even more. This just to keep them in business. Chrysler wants money too. Ford says it probably does not need the help but would like a line of credit just in case. What should congress do? If you do the math a $30 billion bailout would amount to about $2000 for every car sold in America during 1 year, including foreign makes.
